hiiii! these are my top 5 anime shows! (i haven’t watched that much anime in general, unless you count movies too. this is only like my top 5 out of the 11 shows i’ve watched. hehe. it’s ok. 😅😅) anyways i’m super excited to share! btw these are not in an order, they’re just my top five in a random order. (i could never pick my favorite one)

1. horimiya

ahhh i absolutely love horimiya. i know this is a very controversial opinion, but i truly enjoy it. it’s not available in the u.s., but i managed to finish all of it during my trip to london! i truly enjoyed it so much, whether it was the amazing different characters, the whole friend group, the funny jokes, or even just hori and miyamura.

one thing i enjoyed about it that was different from the other animes because they actually (spoilers!) get together in the 5th episode! like, i do love a good slow burn, but at times i really just want to see what their life and relationship is like after they were together, and horimiya is a great example of that!

i do also know people say hori isn’t a really great character, but i think that nobody is perfect, and of course she would have some flaws. i really in fact enjoy hori’s character, and overall i truly love horimiya. (miyamura’s on his period and sengoku’s arm blew up!)

2. the fragrant flower blooms with dignity

omg this show was the most perfectly heartwarming show. i loved all the characters, and i just love this show so much. i don’t even have words for it, i’m literally just repeating the same thing. i love kaoruko and and rintaro and their amazing personalities.

this is an example of a slow burn slice-of-life anime i a really enjoy. sure, action animes are great, but sometimes i really just need some usami, natsusawa, and yorita to uplift my day, ya know?

i don’t really have much to say about this anime, i mean it’s not very controversial to like it. it’s just loved by pretty much everyone, and who can blame them. truly though, i really enjoy this anime and i recommend it to the 2 people out there reading my blog!

3. your lie in april

*contains BIG spoilers

this anime. is. the freaking BANE IF MY EXISTENCE. oh man. you know, whenever i’m feeling down, not the best, and i go and remember THIS ANIME. oh man. you can find me in the bathroom sobbing uncontrollably because KAORI IS DEAD.

ya, and it may seem, i’m exaggerating a little, but this anime did affect me a lot. it really changed my perspective, and i think it’s a really deep anime that everyone should try watching. it’s not very was so so sad, but it was also an amazing anime, and i think people fail to mention that.

i mean, it was so deep, and amazing, and meaningful. i showed me things i never woukd have understood otherwise. and it had funny jokes too. so ya. pretty great anime. though i would hope i don’t have to recommend it to you because you’ve already watched it. if you haven’t and you are reading this now, WHY! I PUT THE SPOILER WARNING. 😔😔

4. ouran high school host club

this anime literally has no depth. that’s why i love it. it’s just pure gold comedy, and it was a great cheer up anime after your lie in april. it was funny, and the characters are so different but so interesting.

that’s really all i have to say. great anime. great characters. great comedy. bad no season 2.

beware though, it is a kind of older anime, so it’s actually a square frame and the animation is older. but you get used to it, and it only elevates the anime in itself. also beware episode 8.

5. yuri on ice!!!

last but certainly not least, my precious yaoi! you can never forget about my precious yaoi! and oh my gosh, this anime. is. incredibly. incredible. i literally don’t have the words to cover all of the parts i love about this anime.

THE LOVE. THE VICTOR. THE YURI (CHARACTER). THE CHRIS. THE PHICHIT. THE SONGS. THE RINGS. THE GLOVES. THE KISS. THE PERFORMENCES. THE CHARACTERS. THE WHISTLE. THE DOGGY. THE HUGS. THE YAOIIII!!

that was barely my top favorite parts. go. watch. yuri on ice. if you can, because i just realized its ONLY ON CRUNCHYROLL. that means i can’t rewatch it. 😢 i got the 7 day free trial and finished it in 2 days. man thats so sad. and i didn’t even get to finish given, citrus, and twilight out of focus before my trial ended.
